These are my favorite ideas-
Here's a couple more cool ideas for using denim
Wow !!! Back in middle school , when girls were forced to take home ec , back in the early 70's we used jeans to make hobo styled pocketbooks or skirts .
there are so many things to do with old denim jeans - Cut them up or use them whole, have you taken a look on the Projects section on this site.
JoNell...My daughter cut in long strips and wrapped around a small foam wreath then cut the belt loops off and added alone with a pocket and stuck flowers in it. She used straight pins but glue would also work. It was cute! She put in the local fair for teen crafts and won a blue ribbon!
So very many projects. I've made place mats from other material (like a bandana print) and then used the back pockets sewn onto the lower bottom corner for placing the napkin. Of just use the back pockets for placing the silverware in for a western look.
Try this, look up Cutting Edge Stencils, they have really nice designs and they have the best price on the internet! They have lots of pictures and stencils to please you!
I cut up jeans in strips and made rag wreaths. There is a tutorial on the site. I love them and added burlap flowers from hobby lobby.
We used to cut them off at the crotch, sew the bottom, make a strap out of a leg, sew it on, you had a purse with 4 outside pockets, the big part for your wallet and stuff? Not to age myself, but we did this back in the early 70's.
