Kitchen Signs From Cutting Boards

When I saw them at a garage sale, I immediately knew these two cutting boards would be perfect as kitchen signs! Working with their worn surfaces, it was easy to make the signs look aged and beautiful!
With a few vinyl stencils and a dab of chalk paint, these garage sale finds became new kitchen artwork.
Just two ordinary cutting boards last weekend, these 2 beauties now have a whole new use in the kitchen!
This little one with the handle may be my favorite!
After painting, I took a fine grit sandpaper to easily scuff up the paint along the grooves in the board.
The larger board was a darker wood. I chose white paint for the lettering so it would stand out more than black.
I made sure to use a light coat of paint so that each groove would show through the lettering for an aged appearance.
