Fun and Educational DIY Kid-colored Letter Magnets
Sure, we all use magnets to hang our kids' artwork on the fridge, but what about when the magnets themselves are your children's artwork?! It's possible with these super fun magnets, which are also a great learning tool!
What a great way for kids to practice their spelling skills while having fun!
Children (and adults!) love coloring in the letters and using the magnets to write names, words and sentences.
Even the most basic scribbling looks great once the letters are cut out!

Then color them as a family. (I promise, you'll want to color some, too!)
Cut the paper into strips and run them through a laminator with a magnet backing cartridge. I use the Xyron 510 Creative Station. This laminating machine is non-electric and has no heat, making is a very simple and easy way to laminate. It is also more inexpensive than most other laminators.
If you do not have a laminator, you can simply glue the colored paper letters on to magnetic sheets (or onto thin freebie magnets). To protect them, you can put clear contact paper over the paper before cutting in the next step. (The Xyron magnetic backing cartridge has a protective plastic top included.)
Cut out the letters with scissors and/or an Xacto knife.
Then have a ball creating words, phrases and sentences!
