How to Create a Vibrant Planter From Old Jar
I love to recycle jars and they make great vases and planters.
i cleaned out this saur kraut veg jar and get out the unicorn spit gel stain.
I decide which colour unicorn spit gel stain to use and begin dribbling first some white modpodge in as it helps coverage and I have no white!
Then add colours one by one in dribble stripes on inside starting at rim edge.
I repeat process and use another colour or two or theee !
When all stripes done put lid on and I turn the jar upside down and rotate slowly to get the gaps inside the jar covered with the paint.
Rotate jar for even coating paint coverage
Then look inside and see if all gaps have been covered and add more paint into the gaps if necessary.
I leave it on its side to dry with the lid off over night.
I’m so delighted with the result and planted in it a beautiful houseplant .
Remember to use plenty of old broken pottery at bottom of jar for good plant drainage.
The sun really helps it to glint very colourfully.
As it’s glass can be used inside or outside .
So vibrant and unique.
