This ornament is so much fun to make and easy too. You can personalize them to match any tree or decor and they also make fun summertime gifts for family reunions at the beach .
Pick up a few of these pails at the Dollar Tree.
You'll find them in the wedding section at Dollar Tree.
Decorate the outside to match your theme or use a Sharpy marker to write a fun message .... like "Graham Family Christmas 2019" Add some embellishment or personalize with markers or printables.
If you head over to the blog there is a link to this printable. Just fussy cut and adhere using white glue or Mod Podge.
You'll need a can of Foam . It's used to block cracks in homes in order to keep out drafts and critters. Find it in most hardware departments. I found this one in Walmart for under $3.00
*******Beware**** This stuff expands to like 5 x it's original size.
Add a squirt to the pail just enough to fill the pail 1/3 of the way to the top.
Let dry overnight.
Next you'll mix up some sand with a little glitter. Apply glue or Mod Podge to the foam and throw on the sand and glitter. I used 2 coats of the sand glitter mix. There are different size grains of sand on the market . I happen to have this big grain on hand and I was worried that I would not like it, however I think it helps hammer home the sand in photos.
I hope you enjoyed this DIY. Please leave a comment in the box below and I 'll be sure and comment back.
