Christmas Printables With Dollar Store Frames
I love to expand my Grinch theme each year. I created some Grinch Christmas printables and wanted to place them in some fun frames. I found some inexpensive frames at Dollar Tree and transformed them into frames I can use all year long just by changing out the printables for photos or other printables.
I chose these frames because they had a clip and it would be easy to change out the prints easily.
I painted the frames with flat white spray paint.
When the paint was dry I used a sanding block to distress the frames.
While the frames were drying I added some fabric to the front of the cardboard inserts from the frames.
I purchased some buffalo check fabric and cut pieces about an inch larger all the way around.
Then I applied a generous amount of Mod Podge to the front of the cardboard pieces.
The fabric was placed on top of the mod podge. I smoothed out the fabric so there were no wrinkles.
I had to slice the fabric and cut a notch to work around the clip but it wasn't hard to do.
I applied more Mod Podge over the top of the fabric then set it aside to dry.
After it was completely dry I cut away the extra fabric around cardboard and added them back into the frames.
I printed out the Grinch printables (these are available for free in the Resource Library on my blog).
I used my paper trimmer to cut them down to a 4 x 6 size.
Then clipped them into the frames. I think they turned out so cute!
What do you think? I love them and love that I can still use them after the holidays.
If you like them you will probably like all of the projects on my blog. I focus on Dollar Tree crafts and fun projects using the Cricut and Silhouette cutting machines. I also design SVG cut files for these machine.
