Lemon Lavender Bath Salts In a Jar
This lemon lavender bath salts in a jar is so easy to make. It's packaged in an adorable mason jar hanging ornament, so it's ready for gifting. This is a very basic recipe, so it's perfect for beginners. This makes a great inexpensive teacher gift.
The jars for these cute bath salts are what makes this such a cute Christmas gift. You can get them on Etsy or on Amazon.
You'll also need:
2 cups Epsom salts
1.5 cups sea salt
20 drops lemon essential oil
20 drops lavender essential oil
2 tablespoons dried lavender flowers
2 tablespoons dried lemon peel
Yellow soap colorant or food coloring
Combine the Epsom salt and sea salt in a bowl.
Then add the dried lavender flowers and the dried lemon peel.
Add the essential oils and yellow colorant. Stir well.
Spoon them into jars. This recipe made 3 mason jar ornaments. You can double or triple to recipe to make more.
I used lemon and lavender essential oils. They are popular oils, so most people have them in their collections. You can use a different essential oil if you want. Just use the same amount of oils per batch.
I think the jars make the gift because they are so cute. You can also use a mason jar or other container to gift these in. Note that an 8 ounce mason jar will be bigger, so you'll need to add more salts or double the batch.

I am wondering if you could take a little needle and poke holes in it to actually smell the oils in it or add some of that fake snow stuff to make it look like a snow ball?
