I try to keep the original boxes for very fragile ornaments, but the others I lay them in layers between tissue paper in clothing gift boxes. I have some large clear storage boxes just for ornaments so that nothing heavy gets laid on them.
I put them in original boxes in a tote. You can use bubble wrap or cardboard in s totes or use ornament storage boxes.

What's the best way to store Christmas ornaments?
Joannie....I use the original box also, tissue paper works well as well as newspaper
Hi ! I don't use balls any more , but when I did , I put them back in the box they came in . I separate my ornaments when I take them off my trees , keeping certain like items together , all snowflakes in a Ziploc , all pine cones in another bag , all birds in another , all bells in another ... Then with fragile ornaments I wrap individually with newspaper or tissue paper and put them into a separate box . Then I put them all together in a large plastic tub , well marked " ornaments fragile !!!! " I usually keep my
smaller cloth items , like tablerunners and dishtowels on the bottom & top , to help cushion the ornaments. I place the box of fragile ones on top , covered with the cloth items . Then I put the whole tub in a safe spot , if stacking with other Christmas
Tubs , keep it on top ! I guess I am a little cautious , because we had a mishap many years ago and quite a few of my handmade ornaments broke 😢
We have plastic bins. I wrap them in newspaper or tissue, put them in their original boxes if I have them, then into the bins.
Hello Joannie,
Buy a clear plastic storage box from DIY and pack them in there. Label it up and store away until next year. They will be clean and dry till then........
I have smaller totes so they are easier to store on a shelf. I use my Christmas stockings and tissue paper to pad them. I also store any special holiday towels and linens with them. I stack them on a wire shelf rack. Special ornaments that are fragile are kept in small boxes (or the original box) inside a tote. I have a collection of handmade ornaments and they go in to a lined repurposed picnic basket so I know which container they are in.
Get a very large bin and top get solo cups put one ornament in each cup full the whole bottom up then lay cardboard on the whole top and do another layer
Hello Joannie,
Use Fruit storage packaging or Egg boxes.
