Hello. I have found soilove to be one of the best stain remover’s around.
Here's a post that might help - https://oureverydaylife.com/how-to-get-stains-out-of-a-sweater-12592705.html
Hi Iva, there are varying methods depending upon the type of stain you're trying to remove. You can reference stain charts for various stains and methods of removal. On a sweater you'll need to be especially gentle so as not to stretch the knit and ALWAYS squeeze the item after washing rather than wringing it out to avoid the item being ruined.
It would really depend on what the stain is. Have you tried the prestain liquids?
I treat stains based on the type. Shampoo for ring around the collar, gp66 for grease, fels naphtha is a good multi purpose cleaner. For sweaters I hand treat stains then cold water wash on delicate.
Hi ! If all else fails , try Folex carpet cleaner , I know this might sound weird , but this stuff gets out all stains !!!! Ink , wine , grape juice , make up ... I was so impressed that I now keep some in a spray bottle in my laundry room ! Good luck !!!
That would partially depend on what the fibre content of the sweater is.
Is it acrylic, pure wool, nylon, etc.?
If you can, spot treat with Dawn dish detergent. Still not completely out? Soak in a dishpan with Oxiclean overnight. Pretreat and wash again. Don't put it in the dryer until the stain is completely out.
I've found Norwex laundry powder, mixed with a bit of water to make a paste, works the best. I even got Tumeric out of a shirt using this. Good luck!
If the stain has not come outwith washing, try Stain Wizard from the Washing Isle at supermarket. They are made for specific stains. May have the right one for your stain............
