How do I find out if a piece of furniture is worth anything?
picked this up at a garage sale because I thought it was a cool piece. Curious if anyone knows what it’s worth. It’s a bit dirty but otherwise really good condition. thanks

Can you put up a photo of your furniture piece?
Oh my. Sorry.
Trip to local antique store will for sure help. Sometimes in the spring there are experts at the flea market fairs
I would check a local antique store
Need a photo please.
Lane furniture is a good brand. I'm sure it has resale value but, don't think it is old enough to be an antique. Do a little research online using keywords like "Lane furniture " to see what's out there. The company should have a website, too, that will help you identify the markings. Hope it brings you what you are hoping for!
Not sure if it is an antique but Lane is a great piece of furniture. Maybe consult an antique expert if you think it's worth money.
Probably not antique but you could turn a profit if you clean up and market it I bet.
Land is a good company with quality furniture , that is quite re sellable ! I did a quick search and didn't see your piece . Try to find a Lane listing , something as close as possible as your piece on EBay ....that might give you more info about the piece itself and it's worth ! Good luck & nice find !!!
I would definitely consult a local antique dealer or furniture restoration service. My daughter purchased an old upholstered bench at a flea market and was shocked to find its worth when she took it to be reupholstered!!
Jon
There are antique sites on the internet for all areas and you could go there and then send photos to them also consingement shops would be able to help you out.
Hello Jon, I found this article, hope it helps you out,
Usually Lane cedar chests have serial numbers that are stamped or applied to the bottom of the chests. You can read the serial number BACKWARDS to determine the production date. For example: serial number 753150 would have been produced on 05/13/57.
Thank you wry much.
You can get it appraised by most any local antique shop. They'll likely charge a fee for appraisal, just so you're aware.
Hi,
Sorry, I don't see any pictures so would suggest you take a few and check out online antique or furniture dealers. Good luck!
