Try digging them up - be sure to get the bulbs.
Can you dig them up and give them away?
To kill chives, you will have to dig them out of the soil. Be
sure that you get the entire bulb or the chives will grow back.
I agree. Digging them up is the answer. You can drench the soil with water to make them easier to remove first.
Hi Jeannie, sorry you have chives growing in your flower bed, they are nasty. Get ready to dig, looks like the only way to get rid of them . Good luck
Chives Are Spreading In Lawn - How Do You Get Rid Of ...www.gardeningknowhow.com › ... › Herbs › Chives
Apr 4, 2018 - A thin trowel or similar tool is best for digging bulbs in grass, and you may sacrifice a small amount of grass to get rid of the chives. Water the area the day before to soften the ground. Don't attempt to pull the plants because the tiny bulblets will break off and spread.
Dig them up and give them away. I have them growing in my beds on purpose along with onions = free pest control. Many people love chives to cook with, including me.
AGreed - just have to dig out the bulbs!
Digging is the only way I've been able to get them out.
Can you just dig them up? And don't let them flower, get at them before the flowers come, because they can set new seed.
