Hi ! I just read that they don't like the smell of human hair or cinnamon...if you know where their holes are you can push some in there . But ... I have used pinwheels or garden spinners in the past and they have worked ! Just place several near their holes or where you have seen them . Place the stick end about 5-7 inches into the ground . When they spin in the wind it sends a vibration down the stick and into the ground , moles , voles , & chipmunks don't like this and will move on . Good luck !
Hello. I would like to find a solution too. In master gardener classes the expert lecturer commented there are possible four solutions, get a cat, get rid of the grubs, get a mole trap or live with them.
If you happen to find a successful solution please come back here and post it!
i buy the ant kill from Walmart. i pour some on the ant mound and then i dust the whole yard with it. it keeps the ants down for months. Works better right before it rains so that it will get washed into the soil or use your sprinkler.

I keep a small box of instant mashed potatoes on hand and sprinkle a few spoonfuls where i think they travel. I do this at night since most are nocturnal. After they eat, the flakes expand in the stomach and well they die.
NOTE: If you have pets keep these flakes out of their reach.
Another idea is to pour Pinesol on the mound – they move right out.
I struggle with moles in my yard as well. I find that castor oil works well to keep them away. I use this castor oil: https://amzn.to/3gNelfS
I also use castor oil granules like these: https://amzn.to/3gT3scD

our neighbors have this thing that you stick in their tunnel and it beeps
I have shoved a garden hose down into the hole and let the water run for a long time. I have also tried the smoke bombs - place in hole and light it and then sealing dirt back in hole.
I had this problem years ago. My lawn was littered with holes and tiny mounds of dirt. Mother Earth News said to use Juicy Fruit gum. My kids and I chewed it a little-but that was the fun part for them. We dropped a stick in each hole and the problem went away. Cheap and harmless to our pets, as we had cats and dogs. I used it a second time on my father-in-law's yard. He laughed at me when I suggested it. So I snuck in and treated the holes with gum. He couldn't figure out why the problem disappeared! I had the last laugh with that one!
