Worms are GREAT as long as they have matter to eat. If your pot soil is from compost then all is good
worms won't hurt it! They just help to break down any material that isn't fully decomposed into more fully decomposed soil!
In addition to breaking down organic matter, worms also increase the amount of air and water that gets into the soil.
Just make sure you don't have too many earthworms in one pot and that you have compost material for them to eat. Otherwise, they will munch on your plants roots.
A few are fine but if you have too many they might eat the plant's roots.
Hi Kazi, earthworms are definitely good for your plants, and you can certainly add commercially purchased worm castings as a natural fertilizer.
of course they are but in moderation :)
put a few earthworms into the container. At the bottom add shredded newspaper and the earthworms will multiply like crazy. Their castings are the best fertilizer in the world.
Hi Kazi, earthworms are extremely good for pot plants. They eat various materials and basically poop out fertilizer.
Earthworms need a larger area than a pot in order to survive.
