Hi Des, sorry to hear that! I had serious chipmunks last year and they drove me crazy. Last year what finally happened is a little family of red squirrels moved in and POOF goodbye chipmunks. This year I have a dog now and that's whats really helped keep them out of the yard. I hope the professionals you hire know of a way to deal with them naturally. Have you considered trapping them and releasing them elsewhere? I would consider you must have something in your yard that's attracting them, I know my bird feeders is what made my yard so popular to chipmunks. Perhaps there's something they don't like that you could feed birds with instead?

Hi Des. We had a chipmunk problem this year too. My neighbor set a trap between our yards and caught a total of 12 chipmunks and a couple moles. He kept taking the trap and releasing them until it really slowed down until we were not catching anything at all. I know how frustrating this problem can be. Good luck Des. I wish you well.
I have installed a sprinkler system that goes off when critters or deer come around.
We had a fruit tree in our yard (cherry) and they flocked to it. Once it was gone so were they. Perhaps there's a food source like that drawing them to your place, like a veggie garden?
Call Disney, they may want to hire them to work with Chip and Dale.
Bring in a "predator": A decoy predator, like a motion-activated owl, can scare chipmunks away from your yard. You can also buy a spray product made from the urine of predator animals like red foxes and cats. The smell will convince chipmunks that they're in danger — and they'll stay away.

What did the professional say? Do they catch and release somewhere else? Do you have a barn or outdoor area where you could house a ferral cat who would decrease the population?
