Repurpose or recycle glass table top
I have a rogue piece of glass from a rectangular patio table, 4-6 seater, complete with a center hole. I am not sure what to do with it.
They would make pretty planters after being wrapped in Juke Cord. Here's one that reminds of what you're mentioning: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/diy-rope-wrapped-planters-26091791
You can make a vase from them.
I use mine for compost in the kitchen before I take it out to the big compost bin.
My daughter keeps one in her freezer for compost. She doesn't have a yard, so she gives them the full container for their compost pile. I find them handy for storing craft supplies and have used them for painting and stripping projects. Good luck and stay safe!

Hi Tina
Here are some ideas

I cut off the bottom, melt 5 holes in the top (hot glue gun, no glue stick), and bury them up to the rim in my garden.
Every day or so, I add kitchen waste and a handful of woodchips, replace the lid, snapped shut.
This allows worms to tunnel up and turn the waste, the holes in the lid allow rain and air circulation. If the holes in the lid are small enough, flies can't get in.
I have several of these planted throughout my yard.
I have planted several bits of Pothos Ivy in the plastic Folgers containers, with and without holes. They make decent seed starters. If you want to plant bulbs in your yard, and pull them in the Fall, these are perfect. Pinch the holes in the bottom, bury them up to the rim in the yard, add planting mix, plant the bulbs. Plastic forks, planted 'tines up' around the bulbs deters critter digging amongst the bulbs.
If you need storage in your laundry room for powdered detergent, borax or washing soda, these are wonderful.

Recycled Plastic Coffee Containers
I used to use coffee cans to store nail, screws, and other miscellaneous hardware.
I have used folgers containers everywhere in the house. Store Flour, sugar, dog treats, pretzels, etc. In the garage I store nails, screws, small bolts etc.
In the freezer, if you like frozen margaritas of pina coladas it is just the right size to make a batch and keep for a later time.
I use our folgers containers for measuring out feed for our livestock and also use them for storage in the shop
You could make planters out of the largers ones. Paint, use contact paper, or add cording to decorate.
I use some to hold plastic bags, cutting a slit in the top to dispense the bags when I need them.
Smaller one could be a bank for change.
Instead of spending money trying to transform the containers, take them in the morning to the nearest beach, or lake, on a summer day, and donate them to families arriving for the day. The kids (and adults!) will put them to good use making sand castles.
Donating them is free, and you will spread some sunshine by making the day happier for others.

I've used them to store leftover paint. Much nicer than a can that will rust. I use it under my bathroom sink to keep the toilet bowl brush in. We have used them to cover our outdoor faucets in the winter to keep them from freezing. Wrap insulation around faucet first.
