How to Create This Fall Buffalo Checked Pumpkins in a Wagon Sign!
We've been experiencing quite the heat wave on the west coast of BC this summer! But enter one day of clouds, I was ready to launch into fall-mode!
So I promptly designed 4 new fall stencils and put one of them to work instantly!
This is a story about two of the cutest pumpkins being carted off to market... thanks to a little reclaimed wood, rusty junk, and with the help of 3 stencils that made this easy!
Here's how I did it:
I had just landed a new stack of reclaimed wood gifted to me by a neighbour! So it was pressure washed, nails removed, then pressure washed, ready for a new project!
4 cedar fence planks were cut to the desired length, then stabilized from behind with the same wood planks. This makes an easy base!
The finished sign size ended up being 22"h x 37"w.

Designing the sign
From here it was playtime!
The Pumpkins stencil was then positioned into place along with a plank of wood and some rusty junk that would inevitably become the cutest little rustic wagon ever!

The pumpkins were then stenciled, first in a solid colour, then a Buffalo Check pattern on top.
The wagon plank was stenciled next.
