Upcycle a bar stool into something else?
I have a 3 legged hardwood bar stool that it chair height. It is no longer needed as the piano that it provided seating for has been sold. I am wondering what it could be made into or repurposed for. Any suggestions? PS: I do not need it to be made into a plant stand.

A great plant stand. Paint the legs and stain the seat. Could also a nightstand for a small bedside lamp and alarm clock.
Sounds like it could make a nice end table for beside a chair.
I've seen them turned over and used to store rolls of wrapping paper.
Hi Lynn

Oh, I would donate it to a music school or a school that teaches piano. There are many who would love this and have your legacy attached to generosity.
I have seem them turned over and used to store things. They are pretty cool looking when turned over and provide great storage for a number of things.
I agree with Recreated Desgins. I've seen them turned over and then used to store rolls of gift wrap, wall paper, or bolts of fabric.

You could upholster it on top with a cushion, fabric and staple gun and make it into a little sitting bench in front of a bed.
Hello. I would consider to cut it down to an ottoman or plant stand.

Can be used as a plant stand
Tuck it into a vignette area and place decor atop it. Replace one of your dining/kitchen table chairs with it. Use it as a footstool.
Hi Lynn,
Add a larger circle or square on top and make it into a table. Cut the legs down and make it into a child seat or into a Milking stool. Use it as it is as a bedside table. Cut it down and fix seat to the wall and uae as Coat or Bag Hooks. Turn it upside down and add an Oblong or Oval timber on top and make into a coffee table. Hope that helps a bit!
haha - glad you said no plant stand b/c that is of course what I thought of first. How about a side table for a bedroom? Or a side table next to the couch?
Add a cushion to it and use for additional seating. If you have a porch or deck, paint with an exterior paint (like RustOleum enamel) and have for seating out there.
