There’s a company called Gianni and they make Kits to paint marble countertops. I’ve also seen people do it with marble contact paper with success!
I would highly recommend the Gianni line for this type project to make sure it is long lasting. After prep you won't have to do anything beyond adding veining and sealing. Here's a kit offered at Home Depot:

Hi Taylor, if paint is not quite what you're looking for. You can purchase laminate tops that can be applied directly to old countertops for that marble look!

We use a Giani kit for one of our countertops. We tried making it look more like a granite, but you can marble with it too. Here is a link if you want to read more, but those Giani kits are amazing! And under $100 too, so it is a very inexpensive fix

You might even be able to get a marble look for your countertops, like my friend, Julie, did at My Wee Abode: https://myweeabode.com/update-your-countertops-without-replacing-them/
This homeowner painted her laminate counters to look like granite, and they look fantastic! She used a feather to paint on the veins! https://www.lovelyetc.com/painted-countertops/

Make sure whatever you use is food safe and know too, paint will wear over time especially in a kitchen. That said, lots of Hometalkers have done this so a quick search using the bar at the top left will render you lots of tips.
