These Christmas scented wax tablets are natural air fresheners that give off a light scent. I used a holiday blend in mine, but you can use your favorite blend.
I made them with soy wax and beeswax. I also added some fresh holly for a pretty touch. The holly will last about a month if you preserve it, so these won't last from year to year.
Essential Oils

I made a master blend of a Christmas tree themed essential oil blend. I used:
  • 3 drops sweet orange essential oil
  • 2 drops balsam fir essential oil
  • 2 drops juniper berry essential oil
  • 1 drop clove essential oil
I get my essential oils from Simply Earth.
Supplies

You'll also need:
  • 1 cup soy wax
  • 1 cup beeswax
  • 10 drops essential oils
  • Fresh holly
  • Circle mold
Melt Waxes

Use a double boiler to melt the waxes over medium heat. I put mine in a measuring cup and set it on a canning ring in a pan of water. Heat until melted completely. Carefully remove from heat and add essential oils. Stir well. Fill 4 molds about 3/4 full.
While the wax is still a liquid. put pieces of fresh holly on top. They will fall enough to get embedded into the wax but not sink to the bottom.
Now you can hang it from the tree or use in a drawer for a light scent. These will only last about a month. I reuse them as fire starters for outdoor fires when I'm done with them.
