Hi Tina, I would start with the Gorilla Glue brand, I find they make the hardest core stuff you can buy that isn't an epoxy. Speaking of epoxy though - that's the stuff I would glue mirrors on to my ceiling with. Good luck!
I like E6000.
E6000 has worked really well for us. My daughter glued a piece of rubber onto a Timberland leather boot when she was in middle school for a cosplay outfit. She is now 30 and still has those boots.
I also go for E6000
I would not trust any glue to adhere mirrors to a ceiling. BUT, I would use construction adhesive or liquid nails.
Here is info on E6000 glue - this is what I would use http://eclecticproducts.com/downloads/tds-e6000-craft-english.pdf
and more info on other glues

HelloI recently used a thick clear glue for my sneakers and my Keen sandals that separated apart made by gorilla glue. It worked very well.
There are also dedicated shoe glues out there as well.

Gorilla Glue brand super glue is the best I've come across in a while but some glues are meant for some projects and not others. You'd need to find glues that work with the specific materials you're gluing for success.
Epoxy works well or contact gtlue.
Hi Tina. I agree with above comments. E6000 works great. I like to buy it with a pointed tip for jobs that need a small amount of glue. I buy it at Wal Mart. Good luck Tina. I'm wishing you happy and healthy holidays.

Hi Tina,

Epoxy glue
Some two part epoxy glues work well, but there are so many types of plastics and rubbers, it will be a crap shoot . Just try to get the surfaces good and clean and prep areas with sand paper or a grinder.
I have a lot of luck with E6000 on many surfaces including plastic, metal and glass. https://amzn.to/2Wf6Llj
