Hello. I have successfully spray painted a few chandeliers.
If you wish to change the metals patina or add depth luster rubnbuff is a nice product we use.
You can paint it. Be sure to give the surface a 'scuff' with sandpaper and clean it well. There are spray paints in lots of colors now. Have fun with it!
It can be painted with spray paint, another metallic or a color, or black.

Hi Cheryl, If you don't want to dismantle the light to paint it, there is a product called Rub n Buff that comes in a multitude of colours. You can choose a colour you like, put a little on a cloth and then rub the pieces of the Chandelier. It will change the colour and look lovely. I use it on hardware all the time and love how easy it is to use.
Here is a video that shows how Rub n Buff works on a shiny brass lamp... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxitWwg0VoI

You can paint it absolutely any color you desire. Rustoleum spray paint is quality!
You could scuff and add a glaze to find it down.
Try a textured spray paint. There are a lot of metallic finishes.
Rustoleum makes a great primer, and then you can spray paint it with whatever color you want.
I like to use a black paint as a base coat, then use gilding wax to change the colour.
How To Age Brass in Less Than 5 Minutes

Hi Cheryl, you can paint it with Rustoleum, I painted a brass light fixture to look like a beautiful brushed nickel, it cost me, about $10 instead of $100 for a new fixture!
Hi Cheryl. I would use a spray paint on your light fixture. Give it a light sanding first. Be sure to clean off all the sanding dust. Then several light coats of spray paint giving time to dry in between coats. Lots of colors and textures to choose from. Good luck Cheryl and Happy Holidays.
you can spray paint it. Just clean it really well and try to sand off the shiny finish if you can first.
We have used hammered paint for many items, including lamps and door hardware. Check out these products

We had shiny brass living room tables with glass tops. I spray painted them black and updated the look. You can select many optional paints and textures.
You can paint it with primer and then change the color to what you want.
Spray paint!
You could spray it or paint it
I love this one and it does not use spray paint if you don't want to take it down. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/diy-drum-lampshade-and-chandelier-makeover-44262184
