I'm guessing gallon size.
You can use to organize small toys if you have kids like matchbox cars, Barbie clothes, or those "meal" toys.
When you purchase a box of screws, they normally come in paper boxes which promptly fall apart. You can re home them in the cans and tape the label to the top.

They can be used for storage and I've even seen them used as a container for a gift, decorated with pretty paper and ribbons!
Great for garage storage for nails, screws etc. Do not put plant food in them they will rust. Good for crayons, pencils etc.
I Have used cans for cookies that I give away at Christmas.

Hello. I would decorate, paint or decoupaged for seasonal tabletop displays.
here are some ideas https://www.bobvila.com/slideshow/9-creative-uses-for-old-paint-cans-46062
I keep string, spools, corks small wood scraps in them. Keeps metal pieces nails etc, from getting rusty in damp garages and keeps things like string from picking up musty odors. Keep the lids on and put a label on them. If they don't stack well you can build a "holder" for them beside a work bench. Use scrap wood to make two sides 1/4 " wider than the cans that will hold them in place. Paint them and use them under the sink for sponges, extra soap etc. Spray paint them bright colors add drainage holes and use for beautiful hanging planters in the yard. Hang off of a fence and fill with summer flowers and when they get rusty after the season pitch them.
This is darling. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/grow/diy-paint-can-herb-garden-4964199
DIY Paint Can Herb Garden
Good for storage in the work shop...
Annie yep all ready using them there. But i have a huge box of these things, just sitting in the basement.
Hello Olga,
You could make a lampshade. Cut a hole in the top to take the cord and bulb. Leave as is or Wipe over with WD-40 to protect. Punch holes in it in a design to let more light out. Paint it inside or out. Use them to hold plants in as covers for Plant pots. Have fun!
