I want to repurpose upcycle our family piano?
Piano is solid cherry from the early 1900's. Brought over from Scotland in 1908. It as candle holders next to music holder. I want to take it apart. Use parts for a head board. Who could do this? Do I look up furniture repair? Or piano restoration? I have already seen the fish tank, desk, ideas. I don't want to make it into a bar.

Hi Minnow, do you have any furniture recyclers in your area? They may be able to help. You can also have a look at this video, which will show you how to dismantle a piano https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVO1nZr-e50

Hi Minnow. I think a carpenter could handle this project. Take a look at web sites like Home Advisors or Angie's List. We have used Home Advisors 3 times since we moved in our current home and was happy with results all 3 times. Home Advisors is a company that sub contracts all kinds of professional workers, including carpenters. They make sure all their sub contractors are licensed and insured. They provide customer reviews so that you can see how other customers rate their work. Using this service is free. I hope this helps you Minnow. Good luck.
Hello. Wow that sounds like an amazing project. Perhaps you’d like to consider photo journaling the project and presenting it here! Hope you find the perfect person to assist you and direct you with your new transformation!
Hello Minnow,
Cabinet Maker would be your best bet! Or Furniture Restorer maybe!
Im sure there could be many uses for the piano. It will likely require some woodworking modifications. Im sure a furniture restorer could handle the task... Good luck
