Turn a Roll of Tinfoil Into The Prettiest Valentine Garland
Grab a roll of tinfoil from your kitchen and whip up this super easy Valentine's garland just in time for the celebration of love.
Valentine's Day might be just around the corner but there is still time to whip up this super cute and super easy heart garland! All you will need is a roll of string, a little paint, and a box of tinfoil from your kitchen.
Check out more great Valentine's Day projects here...
Start by ripping pieces of tinfoil that are approximately three to four inches wide. You will need one piece of tin foil for each heart on your garland.
Also, cut one piece of string for each heart. The string should be approximately four to six inches long depending on how far you want your hearts to hang off of the garland.
Loop one piece of the cut string, fold over the edge of the tinfoil and tape the sting in the middle.
Work your tinfoil until you create a heart shape turning the edges of the tinfoil towards the back of the heart. Make sure the string loop comes up in the middle of the heart top.
To give your hearts a soft romantic look, paint them with pale pink paint. Make sure to get the paint into all of the nooks and crannies.
As soon as you have finished painting the front of the heart, use a damp paper towel to wipe off some of the paint from the raised areas. This will allow the silver to peek through giving the hearts an aged and worn look.
Attach your hearts to a long piece of string and hang your new garland from your mantel or wall. This pretty pink garland will make your heart melt every time you see it.
