You could add fringe, pom poms, or some other trim. Another idea to to dye them.
Hi Anne, this is one of my favorite bloggers: she painted her curtains by hand! https://www.beaninloveblog.com/2020/02/hand-painted-curtains-diy.html
Could you add some trim to the curtains? Even if you don't sew you can use fabric glue. :)
you could dye them another color, you could use a solid piece on the bottom to give them contrast here is info

Fairy lights! I love the way they look and add a soft glow to the area.
Do you have pictures you can share? Do you want a different color? You could dye them. Do you have a different pattern you are looking for? Try and find a specific pattern and get someone who is good with a sewing machine to create the pattern out of the fabric you already have.
I always add trim...super simple to do with either a quick run through the machine or with iron on tape. https://www.exquisitelyunremarkable.com/2020/11/how-to-update-old-curtains.html
Hello!
Please consider posting a photo. If we can see what you have to work with — existing colors and decorative theme we might then be able to offer realistic suggestions on how you might be able to improvise your curtain panels.
Hi Anne Marie,
If curtains are plain, Add Jazz Music Notes and Icons with double sided tape or Applique them on with "Wonder Web". If already patterned, add a coloured Strip of fabric to the Edge or inside edge about 3" in.
I like to add sheers to my window curtains.

Pom pom or tassel trim
I always used sheets for curtains. Target sells curtain rod loops with clips. If the sheet is too long just fold over and clip at the length you need. No sewing, up in minutes. Twin sheets are usually really cheap and two will more than fill most windows.
I had another idea, you could add decorative fringe or lace. Even if you don't sew, you can apply with hot glue or iron on with fusible web.
You can apply grograin or other ribbon to the plan curtains to add some color, texture, and interst. Maybe a border of ribbon from top to bottom wither sewn on or attached with the adhesive tape. Sometimes a detail like this can add a lot of interst. Ribbons in various widths are sold by the yard at any fabric or craft store or by about a 3' roll at $Tree. You could use an accent color from your decor to select the ribbon you use.
