How can I keep my dog away from my plants?
We have a new dog. I like to plant flowers in pots and place them throughout my yard. What can I do to protect my plants from this dog. He's only 7 months old and loves to dig holes. He has knocked over ever pot in the yard and broken a few.

A new puppy! Yay!! Maybe this will help? https://www.wikihow.com/Stop-Your-Dog-from-Eating-Your-Plants
You can either make it inaccessible to him by a fence or otherwise, put him on a leash, or work on obedience training. Since he is so young, I would invest the time to train him. It will pay off in the long run.
Train your dog. It takes some effort, but in the big picture your family and friends will appreciate it. I have 6 and they were taught from puppies what is or is not allowed. They were also trained to potty in a certain area for ease of clean up and leaves most of the lawn for fun and games.

Since he is a puppy, I would try and train him since it will be easier now than when he is older
Spray bottle or water gun? Give him treats every time you call him away from the plants?
Build a dog run. That would keep the pup out of your pots and safe in its own area.

How to keep a dog out of the flowerbed?
This can be a long training process, but whenever your dog digs a hole...fill it with his feces. This will keep him from continuing to dig in the same area. Regular exercise and keeping him busy with other activities is key to stopping this behavior...if you catch him in the act of digging, give him a sharp "NO" then distract him with a toy. "Kongs" or other toys that allow treats to be placed inside are great for keeping active dogs and puppies preoccupied.
You can also make a spray with cayenne pepper, water and a drop or 2 of Dish soap to spray in the areas he likes to dig.

Ah.. The joy of having a puppy LOL They dig usually because they are board.
A small fence around your garden may help. Heres a link to a site that may give you some ideas

To keep him away, spray plants with pungent white vinegar or apple bitter. Or plant marigolds between vegetable rows, which repel dogs and other backyard pests, such as Mexican bean beetles, aphids, squash bugs, and whiteflies. However, don't apply rabbit or deer repellents that contain coyote urine.
Hello, since he is a puppy, the plant interest will be just a phase, block access to the plants with fencing, etc, until you can get the little duffer trained not to shred them LOL!
