Table stain from juice or coffee is something that I want to avoid. They are difficult to remove and sometimes stays permanently.

Here's an easy DIY coaster to avoid that. I know coasters can be pricey now because of widely available designs. But if you are like me who wants to keep it simple and minimal, then this might be for you. Upcycling is always better to buy new one :)

All you need is this 4 things:

1.A pattern

2.Old carboard box

3.Old or left over wall papers.

4.scissors or cutter

I still have this marble wallpaper from an old table project and love how this look chic and simple at the same time.

So first prepare your pattern. You can adjust the size of your pattern depending on what you will use it for.

Cut out your cardboard box and marble wallpaper using the pattern.

Clean up the surface of the board to make sure the wallpaper will stick perfectly.

One tip I have seen online is to use blower ( I don't have one 😬 ) to perfectly place the wallpaper. Let me know on the comments if it does work for you. :D

All done! Your easy and affordable coaster is ready to use.

What do you use to adhere the wallpaper to the cardboard?

How do you prevent the cardboard from becoming wet and disintegrating, or are these coasters meant for use over a short time only?

I’ve made coasters with patterned felt and foam sheets. The Dollar Tree sells sheets of cork, so I sometimes use that, too. (For the bottom.) Shiny wallpaper won’t soak up liquid if there is any condensation.
