I've seen Command hooks used or a towel rod with the lids resting in it.

I agree that the most often I've seen used are command hooks :) This gal did something on her wall that might work just fine for on the inside of a cabinet door for pot covers. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/organize/kitchen/pot-farm-or-pot-rack-7634867

Command hooks work well and they are removable with no damage.
If your cabinet door is metal, you could use magnet hooks and freely move them where you need them.

Hi Yvonne, here's a video from Hometalk that will elp you. If you don't trust the stick-on hooks, you could screw hooks onto your door being sure not to use too long screws.

Using command hooks, you can place them to nestle the covers against the door on the inside. I've seen using 2 but I think I would use 3: 1 in the middle and 1 on each side.
You can try using magnetic magnetic strip. Just install behind yourcabinet door. However, if your pot lids are not magnetic, just hang them using adhesive hooks inside a kitchen cabinet or pantry.
Get stick on hooks and place them so you could fit a lid between them try by taping it up first make shure the lids don’t hit the shelf front when door is closed
I used some white wire towel bars, the old=fashioned kind that come in a set of 3, https://www.truevalue.com/12-inch-white-steel-towel-bar
