I use acrylic craft or artist paint to paint my cans and use an ice pick to punch holes in the bottom for drainage if using outside.

Have a question about this project?
I wondered about the type of paint and drainage as well. Do you paint inside the cans too?
what type of paint did you use? I tried some spray paint on a can and it wouldn't stick.
