Yesterday was an estate sale day of shopping for me! I was looking for a few new/old/rustic/vintage things to add to my front porch. Yup, It's that time of year again to switch from summer to fall. Below you can see what I found and what I did with them. Next weekend I might just have to go out searching for a few more interesting items ;)
Over 100 years old each - I found these shovels at an estate sale in NJ for only $6 for both. They are caked with old dirt, concrete, and who knows what else. Call me nuts but that's the way I like them!
Had this packet of chalk for drawing on the shovels. I will be putting these shovels on a covered porch so the chalk shouldn't get washed away once they're drawn on.
One shovel drawn on with regular chalk. As you can see, I'm no artist :)
The other shovel is also done with the regular chalk.
I already had the shovel on the right so I also decorated that one with the chalk. There you have it - 3 fun fall shovels. These can easily be erased and changed out for the Christmas season too. Then there is New Year's, Valentines Day, Easter, etc. ;)
