Transforming From Summer to Fall

This year many of the plants on my front porch were still going strong and I thought their deep purples and greens would be a nice change from the usual fall color scheme. So I kept my large pot filled with perilla magilla and cascading lamium.
I also removed the sweet potato vine and coleus from their bright turquoise pots and replaced them with older bronze ones from the shed.
Then I added a little green apple colored wreath made from dried hydrangea flowers. I like the way it looks and it didn’t take long or cost very much to transform my summer porch to fall.

Karen Creel on Oct 06, 2014I made the mistake of pruning my hydrangea too severely last spring. Can't wait until it starts blooming and I can dry them again.
