Creating a Gorgeous Vintage-Inspired Home Office With Paint!

Are you interested in creating a home office to organize your bills, family paperwork, and just about everything that keeps your family on schedule? And, if you would like this to be done on a budget and beautifully, we are in the same place.
This credenza is the After photo. I originally purchased a very well-made wood stained credenza via Craigslist. Total cost was $50. I also purchased inexpensive white photo frames from Ikea to add more interest to this small room.
While the wood tones are attractive, this piece, in its original state, did not work well for my space. I purposed paid a small amount for it so that it could be painted.
After a coat of primer and sanding was completed, I applied a high gloss paint in my favorite color, turquoise and repeated it again. I also removed the drawer and door knobs and replaced with gold knobs because I love gold with turquoise.
I won't have an Ikea in my area until Fall 2015. I'm so excited. We made a 5 hour trip to our nearest Ikea and picked it up several white photo frames. I decided to paint them a happy apple green as they would be placed over the turquoise credenza.
What do you think? I love how happy this space is and I can get some work done (when it's clean). I have more photos and information on my blog, Chocolate and Sunshine. Hope you have a space to update, too.
