Repurposed Salt Lid "Star" Christmas Ornament

I just love making Christmas ornaments out of little bits and pieces I collect over the year. I store things away and then pull it all out this time to see what I can come up with for decorating, gift giving and selling in my booth.
This is my first ornament of the 2014 season...
I found a bunch of these lonely shaker tops a while back at a favorite treasure spot. I thought the design looked like a star.
A few little bits and bobbles came together to make this sweet little sparkly ornament.
I always grab these old "Star" keys when I see them.
I just tied them all together with some skinny twine...and that was that. The easier the better if you ask me. I've already given one as a gift and I used one for an ornament exchange. More to come :)

You gave me a great idea on what to do with stuff I have had in a drawer forever that I can't bear to part with - like an old skate key, a key and bells from a wreath from my childhood home.
