Months before I moved into my new dorm I had planned on doing a complete makeover of the room without breaking any dorm rules and I wanted a completely different theme from the previous room. From romantic and chic (see the room here:http://believeninspire.com/2014/05/college-dorm-room-romantic-decor.html) to modern and glamorous. From pale pink to turquoise and purple.
One of the project was a headboard that I had planned on making from sequin fabric. Since I couldn't get my hands on power tools, I wanted to use something that is easy to handle and did not need an attachment. Other than that, keeping in mind all the rules and regulations of the dorm the best solution was to use the foam core board. I was able to just place it behind my pillows and that was enough to hold it in place.
I'm loving the new look of the room. Feels cozier and more like home.
