Black And White Chevron Dresser For My Boys' Room

I found this beautiful antique dresser on Craigslist for $50 (only catch was that I had to drive more than an hour to pick it up). I bought it with the intention of painting a fabulous design on it to complement my room design that I had done for my two sons.
I started by removing all of the drawer pulls, scraping the paint off of the key holes and giving it a good sand. Then I painted the whole dresser with a fresh coat of white paint. Once dry, I laid out the chevron design with blue painters tape. Then I painted black between the tape lines.
Next I spray painted the drawer pulls and reattached them once dry. I chose silver, but a fun pop color like red or blue would be cute too.

Lastly I relined the drawers with black contact paper (surprisingly difficult to find, but Amazon is a girl's best friend). There was some really interesting old newspaper used to line the drawers. I scoured it for nearly an hour trying to find a date to no avail. My best guess it that the newspaper was from the early 1900s (if not earlier). I also dropped some candle wax on the tracks so that the drawers would glide.
