I love mason jars ~ not only are they perfect for storage and display but you can accessorize them (sounds so chic!) with items readily available for just a dollar or two.
These are the accessories I used ~ aren't they awesome?
I have so many mason jars ~ an antique Atlas Mason's Jar, Ball Mason Jars and jars I bought for just a few dollars (copy cat jars). I usually use them for storage around the house ~ candy, marshmallows, chocolate chips, cotton balls, etc. but there is so much more you can do with them and the great thing about all of the accessories I bought ~ they are FULLY interchangeable regardless of the different jar brands.
I've wanted to make one of those DIY's so that I could use a mason jar for hand soap but I never got around to it {there were too many steps ~ lazy crafter}~ and then I spied a Pump Insert Kit for only $3.95 ~ this was the first of my Non Crafty Mason Jar projects (if it takes less than a minute I don't think it's a project but I'll call it that just to make it sound like it's a big deal).
In addition to the pump kit I found lots of other lids and handles and found a way to use them all. In less than 5 minutes I had a bunch of new ways to use my mason jars. I have a lot more ideas and pictures over at the blog ~ I felt like I had a new puppy....I took way too many pictures.
Enjoyed the project?
