Turning a Console Table Into a Entryway Bench

One way to upcycle a console table is making a bench out of it. How cool is that? The style of the table and the sturdiness maybe a deciding factor on whether you want to do this or not.
I had this console/side table that was not working for me. At least not as a console table. So, I decided to turn it into a entryway bench.
The table was a nice enough table. But it was just too big. This is a before photo.
We took it outside and removed all the legs.
Then we cut the legs down to 17.5 inches using a jig saw. We tried using a circular saw, but that didn't work out to great. After we cut the legs down we painted the inside of the bench and the legs. Then we attached the legs.
This is the final results. I sat on it and it is very sturdy. I rather like it.
