Math Themed Graduation Party

My son's Graduation Party was a total DIY project for me. I chose a Math Theme because he's planning to be a Math major and he's really good at it...
I wanted to create a vintage feel to the party by adding chalkboards, burlap and metal in the decor. I used vintage math books, rulers, pails and a lot of abacus to the centerpieces. You can see the whole post on the blog with all the details...http://www.houseontheway.com/math-themed-graduation-party/

Each centerpiece was a DIY creation. A layered with centerpiece with a chalkboard platform, burlap wrapped box with MATH detail, vintage book, pail with flashcards and a ruler, abacus and a Class of 2015 chalkboard.
I created a Chalkboard Subway Art for my son and added small Metal letters to spell his name.
Each centerpiece had the same components, but slightly different in size, etc.
Party favors were placed in small paper bags wrapped in blue and white twine and decorated with graduation tags.
The cake table held the cake, MATH in large metal letters and personalized napkins. Small painted numbers were used like confetti on the table.
Enjoyed the project?

TwoPlusCute on May 23, 2015What a great idea; a math party! You combined the colors beautifully and I love the books all around. The one on the cake - what an inspiration!
