DIY Batman Clock

My husband and I made this clock inspired by the latest trilogy of Batman movies for my nephew’s birthday this year. My nephew loves Batman,so it really did make the perfect gift for him. The only materials needed for this project was a piece of wood, clock workings, saw, router and paint.
We started out by cutting out the batman shape. I drew it onto the wood for him, then my husband used the jigsaw to cut the symbol out at a 30 degree angle for the top, and then a 45 degree angle on the sides and bottom.
We purchased a clock kit designed for 3/4 inch surfaces and traced the outside of the clock workings onto the back of the clock. My husband used a plunge router to carve out the wood.
All that was left was to paint the clock black, then we attached the clock workings to the wood.
All finished! We love the way this project turned out, and our nephew did, too. Visit the link below for more details!
