From almost not there...to light and air ~ Redid an old table with Chalk Paint Spray Paint. My first time using it....and I'm in love.
This was the old table before. I sanded the whole thing down with a hand sander but don't have a picture.
Another picture I don't have, but I want to tell you about anyway, is I wanted to preserve the wood, so I stained this whole thing with a Cherry Walnut stain. But when it was dry, it looked like a rust color, and I did not like it. No matter what I did, it looked awful. So, I did what I do best, go to plan B...and paint it.
I sprayed it with a Grey Color Chalk Paint which came in a SPRAY PAINT form. New to me and I love it. I had originally put a French Graphic on it, but I was too hasty (and quite honestly didn't have on my glasses or the right light) and after I had sealed it, realized the paper was not all off the graphic like I thought. So again, I did what I do, and went to plan C, which was paint over the graphic.
So I added another coat of spray paint, distressed it with sand paper and clear coated it again. You can even see some of the icky rust looking stain that didn't look good on the table, but looks good with the distressing I did. What do you think? I'm liking it and I learned a FEW more lessons along the way!
