The Tiles Fell Out of the Kitchen Table. What We Did Next is Amazing.

Total cost $40.00 for a package of wainscoting, 2 tubes of Liquid Nails, and a can of Polyurethane.
I sanded down the wood frame of the table.
We bough wainscoting wood and cut it to fit the opening. then used liquid nails to glue it in.
5 coats of Polyurethane went on the top, and in the grooves of the wood.
We had to put weigh on one corner for a minute.
And now we have a beautiful looking refurbished kitchen table.

I have a similar table. It is the pub style that can be square or rectangle by retractable leaves. I had cracked tiles and wanted to replace them, but couldn't get them out. I ended up having to repair the square's space with wood putty. How did you remove any tiles that didn't fall out? I love my little table, but am sooooo tired of cracked tiles and grout.

Thanks for posting your revamp. Great idea!!

It appears that the wainscoting is higher than the border. Is it?

I use planks a lot on refurbished furniture. They can be sanded to meet the edge of the table. Very easy to sand!
