Look What I Did With Some of My Leftover Wood Scraps...

I took some left over pieces of wood and created a bright and whimsical garland to decorate my front door for FALL

So earlier this month I hosted a painting class where we made the adorable barn wood pumpkins. We cut the corners off the tops of the pumpkins to give them their shape. So I was left with all these triangles. But I had a great idea on how to use them.

I got two pieces of candy corn out of my candy basket so that I could turn all these triangles into a candy corn garland for my front door. Here are the colors of paint that I used.

So here they are. The next step I did was to apply some Elmers glue to the yellow areas on the candy corns so I could sprinkle GOLD glitter on them to add that little extra BLING to my garland.

Then I took some copper sheen glaze and painted it over the top of the brown areas on my candy corns to give them a little extra SPARKLE.

The next step was to drill a small hole in both sides of each triangle so I could wire the pieces of corn together to form the string.

Once they were all wired together, I then added some fall leaves and ribbons to the garland.

It was now ready to adorn my front door and Welcome in the FALL SEASON.
