Cleaning out the attic, I stumbled across some old inexpensive glass ball Christmas ornaments left over from a previous project and an idea hit me on how I could use these left over ornaments for a Fall project.
I gathered my stash of ornaments, a can of metallic copper spray paint, twine, raffia and my hot melt glue gun.
I removed the ornament hangers and spray painted the globes and the hanger tops with metallic copper spray paint.
After they were dry, I put a small amount of glue at the top of the ornament and secured the twine. Then I started wrapping.
I added a drop of glue here and kept wrapping until I was satisfied with the amount of twine, which was slightly less than half of the globe.
I attached the hangers and added a raffia bow to finish them up.
I displayed mine in a bowl on a bed of fall leaves. For more ideas on how to display these, visit my blog.
Enjoyed the project?
