New Use for an Old Chair

One of my greatest pleasures is repurposing something old into something "new" and useful. I bought this chair at a yard sale for $5.00. And now - it is useful as a rack to hang towels, scarves, jewelry or anything else you might have in mind.
This chair wasn't very sturdy for sitting on, but I didn't care - I had another idea in mind!
First step - take it apart, which wasn't too difficult considering it was falling apart when I got it.
Next step - I light sanded it to smooth out some rough spots and got it ready for painting.
Although it already had a bit of a distressed look - it was not the distressed look that I wanted.
I used Annie Sloan Old White paint and applied the AS clear wax. Last step - I turned the chair back upside down and attached a cute shelf that I was not using. I was thrilled when it fit just right. I painted the shelf in the same AS Old white paint, and distressed it as well. The round wooden knobs came from Hobby Lobby, and they fit perfectly into the holes where the old wooden dowels were to hold the seat of the chair. The knobs have long screws to them, so I drilled a small hole into the larger hole, attached the knobs and the project was done! Can be hung on the wall, or may just rest against the wall too.

Have a question about this project?
Did you attatch this to a wall or is it just leaning against a wall somehow? A picture with it being used with things on it would be helpful. Thanks !
