When Peggy and Jim decided to design their dream bathroom for their Pennsylvania home, they committed a year to hand-picking the perfect pieces for their renovation.
What was once a standard bathroom, complete with whirlpool tub, has been completely converted into the “vintage outhouse” they were going for.
With the help of a contractor, the whirlpool tub was removed and a walk-in shower was installed in its place.
Peggy and Jim were on the hunt for the perfect barnwood-look tile to line the walls of the shower and coordinate with the river rock flooring they planned to install.
They found exactly what they were looking for in Storka’s Edgemere tile in the color “Cape”.
The design for the shower was meant to complement the rainfall showerhead and fixture, which have a dark finish and old-fashioned handles.
Another highlight of the bathroom renovation is the vanity and sink, which showcase a hand-hammered copper bucket sink and a galvanized metal surround.
The vanity itself is made from reclaimed wood, and the sink fixture resembles a vintage water pump.
The overall visual effect of the vanity area is quite striking and is a focal point in their vintage design.
Peggy and Jim had a great eye for detail throughout the entire renovation, including the river rock shower floor, the pressed tin-look ceiling treatment, and the custom wall sconces.
They are thrilled with the final results of their customer bathroom and we couldn't agree more!
