We all know children and grandchildren who love Minions. Minions are those sassy little animated characters that resemble Little Debbi Cakes wearing goggles that were popular a few years ago. My good friend wanted to make something special for her small grandson who still adores Minions. She found two old discarded dressers and remade them with a touch of love. He added the final touch that will surprise you, as it did us.
First she found some old dresser end tables that were discarded and sanded them down, removed the hardware, and located the appropriate paint.
She painted one yellow and dark blue on top, sides, and front after removing the drawers. Each color needed to dry before applying the next color. She also painted the front of the drawers their appropriate colors.
She had paint brushes and sanding tools on hand. She also had left over paint from painting her mother's bedroom walls and other projects. Basically, this project cost her only her time.
She painted the second one yellow and black. The dressers looked great but there was something missing. Her grandson said they needed their goggle eyes.
He then asked why couldn't they shine too? So she applied two touch lights to the top drawers for goggle eyes.
So his contribution was the best in making the dressers look like really cool Minions. What child would not love to have Minion dressers in his room with shining eyes?
