A make over of a very sad 3 drawer chest in Lilac and natural wood fronts.
This was a very drab old chest of drawers, that my partner found in his brother's shed. She was covered in cobwebs & leaves & in a very sad state. I had to discard the back panel as it was too damaged to save.
These were the drawers before make-over. I stripped them with paint stripper then hand sanded them. When satisfied with finish, I gave them a couple of coats of matt varnish & added some new wooden knobs, painted to match the carcass.
This is the finished item! Lilac painted carcass [Annie Sloan] with natural wood drawers. Brother is amazed at what I have achieved!
