Stencils can help you create a dream bedroom for your daughter. If her ideal space is filled to the brim with ruffles, lace and soft spoken colors then we have the perfect inspiration for you!
Today we're excited to share a stenciled pink girl's bedroom that is super sweet and stylish. Let's take a look.
We'd like to welcome back Laura, the interior designer and avid DIYer behind Pear Design Studio. Laura's most recent Clients were giving their daughter's bedroom a makeover. They requested a space that was filled to the brim with ruffles and frills. Laura happily accepted the challenge. Her goal was to create a charming bedroom with soft feminine colors like subtle cream and pale pink. To complete the space she planned to add a stenciled accent wall. Laura commented, "Adding a subtle lace wall stencil to the main wall really gave this girl's room the perfect touch. " To find the perfect stencil, she browsed our online collection and fell in love with the Charlotte Allover Stencil, a lace-inspired pattern.
Laura decided to paint an accent wall behind the bed. First she painted the back wall a soft white, similar to Benjamin Moore's simply white OC-117. Then she used blue painters tape to adhere the stencil to the wall and painted the beautiful lace pattern in a petal pink. Laura poured her paint into a paper plate and painted the pattern using a dense foam roller. After each section was painted, she would reposition the stencil to paint the next section. She did this until the entire accent wall was painted. Then she stepped back to admire her gorgeous work!
Once the stencil was complete, Laura created a custom headboard using old doors. She kept the original hardware on the doors and included crown molding. This crafty decor element added to the shabby chic style of the room. She commented, "Our stencil skills.... Are back in action! Isn't it just perfect?" Ready to see how this oh-so-sweet little girl's bedroom turned out?
Laura had this to say about her project, "A creative, cozy reading corner was perfect for this little lady. We used the same color palette and filled it with comfy textured pillows and great small details for hours of curling up with a good book or hanging out with friends." We love how this pairs with the Charlotte Allover Stencil.
