I have been craving s'mores ALL summer long! I decided it was time to do something about my craving. The last thing I wanted to do was buy a fire pit. So I decided to make one on my own!
I used a small ceramic flower pot, river rocks and a chafing fuel container.
Place the river rocks into the flower pot. And spread out to create an even surface.
Place chafing fuel container on top of a smooth river rock surface. Allow the container to stick out a little higher than the flower pot.
Remove the chafing fuel lid and light. (Keep in mind this gets very hot!) Then you have your very own small fire pit. Perfect for making s'mores!

I love your idea and want to use it over Thanksgiving when my kids visit. I want to make two of them. I would love to know how you can do this for
$4.00. Do you get river rock at the $1
store? Just curious how much stone fills the pot? What kind of flower pot do you use, ceramic? And I would appreciate any tips where to get a good price on them? Your blue pot is beautiful, what size is it? This the best idea I have seen in a long time time!! Thank you so much😁😁 Nancy
