DIY Upcycled Entry Pendant Light

2 Materials
Our front entry has a super tall ceiling/walls, but has this chincy light that was lost in the space and when lit, very annoying ..the space begged for something chunky, rustic and, well a DIY knockoff, cause yep, we are cheap and are able!
This is the chincy light we had....removed all the glass and reused most of the hardware...some parts were not needed
Hanging in this large space.....
This was the look I was wanting....so...
We used wood from a dismantled, very old & weathered Adirondack chair...my brilliant husband geniusly put this together like it was nothing...He had that baby slapped together in an instant! What!
A slightly different angle.....which I then pickled in a grey, looking similar in colour as seen here but evened out where cuts were made...
Spray painted the hardware black (not shown..got forgetful to snap pics, darn)
It was hung today...and I'm in love...what a difference...it fills the space perfectly...now to do something about the closet doors! Yikes!! But hey it's a start!
The only cost was new light bulbs! That's the crazy part...compared to $130 online...and much more satisfying & enjoyable! Thanks to a very talented carpenter husband, who always makes sure my vision comes to fruition!

Suggested materials:
